Palomar LuxG Information

The LuxG handpiece is used for skin rejuvenation. It is great for eliminating pigmentation and vascular lesions. It uses light in the green spectrum and targets oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin in the patient’s blood. Moreover, in order to remove pigmentation, this laser also targets melanin which is a black to brown pigment responsible for tanning of the skin. The LuxG is also great at treating rosacea: a skin condition that causes the skin on a person’s face to become red due to enlarged facial blood vessels.
